Mission

General Philosophy and Purpose

Ideally, these vessels were created to provide a opportunity for common people to experience an authentic tall ship and crew while sailing in a safe, idealistic, and friendly environment in sheltered, fair weather conditions.  Our goal is to cater to those who may have never been sailing, families and groups wanting a fun/educational time, romantics of all ages, and church/spiritual related groups rather than hard sailing adventurers or people looking for a “booze” cruise. At a higher plane, it is hoped that having sailed for an hour or a year, each person will have a unique, meaningful, and positive experience.  The whole person is envisioned which includes physical challenges, social dynamics, leadership, and teamwork, and spiritual/ wisdom/truth thought processes .

These vessels were created to provide an opportunity to develop a dynamic community of working professionals and individuals who can grow professionally as well as grow personally.  While the actual job tasks and functions must be learned and executed with skill, efficiency, and safety, other issues of patron interaction, crew interaction in terms of open communications, altruism, spiritual and personal growth and mentoring are important and to be encouraged.  A family style atmosphere is more envisioned rather than a military or naval style.
